Food for Thought
Lots of talk lately about the antisemitic shenanigans happening at Harvard and other Ivys, but it’s important to remember that Ivy kids these days are soft and lazy (maybe they’ve always been….)
Not only is grade inflation rampant, but Gen-Z Ivy kids are using “medical reasons” to skip or makeup exams…a 400% increase from the past 4 years COMBINED
Crowd Pleasers
Cannabis legalization is not just a victory against the War on Drugs but also a win for the 10th amendment and federalism
From an investing point of view, this massive business opportunity is being captured by a consolidated oligopoly at all levels of the economic chain
As more states will move toward legalization, the best bets are on the consolidated retail spaces and the holding companies as opposed to products and farming which are getting commoditized
Mind-Benders
Probably one of the craziest stats of the year that I routinely bring up with my European friends (and against my grandma ahaha) is the fact that if you exclude London, the UK is poorer than Mississippi! In a way this helps explain Brexit a lot more…
Woke intelligence in one graph: Black Americans are now much more likely to believe in “pulling oneself by one’s bootstraps” than white liberals ahahaha
